Probotector is the European title for the game known as Contra in other regions. This side-scrolling run-and-gun game brought the intense action of its arcade and console counterparts to the Game Boy. While the graphics were necessarily scaled down, the core gameplay of navigating levels, shooting enemies, and utilizing power-ups remained intact.  The game featured challenging gameplay, memorable level design, and satisfying shooting mechanics adapted to the Game Boy's controls. Konami developed and published the game across Europe, ensuring its release in various countries with translated packaging and manuals.
